Netrajyoti – Mobile Eye Clinic

MUMBAI

SUMAN & RAMESH TULSIANI inaugurated Netrajyoti – Mobile Eye Clinic on the auspicious day of Durga Ashtami in the Chaitra Navratra of 2019. The Rs.50 Lakhs project constitutes a customized state-of-the-art Mobile Van fitted with all the latest ophthalmic equipment needed to detect several eye and vision impairments and 50 eye camps for children, to be conducted in the rural villages of Thane and Palghar district. Free spectacles will also be provided by the TRUST to children with minor and corrective visual impairments.Funded by the SUMAN RAMESH TULSIANI CHARITABLE TRUST, the project will be managed and conducted by the BHAKTIVEDANTA HOSPITAL & RESEARCH INSTITUTE, Mira Road (E) under the watchful eyes of a select team of Ophthalmologists and support staff.

The fight against Cancer has been a focal point for the SUMAN RAMESH TULSIANI CHARITABLE TRUST in recent years. Recently the TRUST has joined hands with the TATA Memorial Centre, ACTREC at Kharghar. A sum of Rs.19 Lakhs was donated to ACTREC for Clinical Research, which is one of the premier medical institutions in the field of Cancer Treatment across the country today. The MoA was signed by RAMESH TULSIANI and Dr. Sudeep Gupta, Director, ACTREC at the TATA Memorial Centre.

The Super Moon of Holi ushered in an auspicious beginning as SUMAN & RAMESH TULSIANI inaugurated the Vanprastha Ashram at ISKCON Kharghar on March 22, 2019. Thanks to the grant of Rs.55 lakhs from the SUMAN RAMESH TULSIANI CHARITABLE TRUST, the Vanprastha Ashram occupies an entire floor in the complex and houses 14 self contained rooms and three dormitories, which can accommodate about 40 people.The Inauguration was well attended by all the senior Gurus and Devotees from ISKCON and close family members of SUMAN & RAMESH TULSIANI.

MEGA Health Camp

Our SHUSHRUSHA'S SUMAN RAMESH TULSIANI HOSPITAL at Vikhroli, organised a Free Mega Health Camp on Sunday, February 17, 2019. SUMAN & RAMESH TULSIANI inaugurated the Camp, which saw more than 1500 people from Vikhroli, Mulund, Bhandup and Thane among others, registering for Free Check Ups and Consultations for Joint Replacement & Spine Complaints, Diabetes (Foot Problem Detection), Breast Cancer & Cervical Greeva Cancer and Ophthalmic Check Up. The day long Camp was a grand success and saw active participation from members of local, social, cultural and political organizations. Kudos to our Hospital CEO – Dr. Suhas Gangurde, the core team of Niranjan Yamjal, Adesh Bansode and Chetan Gawde, who along with the entire staff of the Hospital organised this mammoth Health Camp with utmost efficiency, discipline and precision.

25th Cancer Survivors Day 2019

SUMAN & RAMESH TULSIANI in association with the V Care Foundation celebrated the 25th Cancer Survivor's Day at NSCI, Worli, in the august presence of Mrs. Amruta Fadnavis (wife of Chief Minister Mr. Devendra Fadnavis), Mrs. Priya Dutt (Congress MP) and Ms. Sakshi Tanwar (TV Actor & Presenter). Marking the 25th Anniversary of the V Care Foundation, the jam-packed event saw Cancer Survivors being presented with Victor Awards in recognition of their fight against Cancer. SUMAN RAMESH TULSIANI CHARITABLE TRUST have a long standing association with the V care Foundation since its inception and have been consistently providing financial assistance of Rs.6-7 lakhs annually for the Cancer patients at TATA Memorial Hospital.

PAEDIATRIC BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT (BMT) DONOR SUPPORT GROUP

SUMAN RAMESH TULSIANI CHARITABLE TRUST has joined hands with the SRCC Hospital by launching the PAEDIATRIC BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT (BMT) DONOR SUPPORT GROUP for providing financial aid to the young children suffering from blood cancer. The Trust will provide a grant of Rs. 1 lac to one patient every month for BMT. The Trust has also extended a helping hand to the patients suffering from Cardiac ailments. A grant of Rs.50,000/- per month has been earmarked for two patients every month. As a onetime gesture on the occasion the Trust extended a grant of Rs. 2 lacs to four patients awaiting Cardiac surgeries. The event was well attended by family and friends of Suman & Ramesh Tulsiani along with senior Doctors and Management executives of SRCC Hospital.

11th Annual Scientific Meet – Kurla Suburban Doctors Association

Shushrusha's SUMAN RAMESH TULSIANI HOSPITAL recently participated in the 11th Annual Scientific Meet organized by the Kurla Suburban Doctors Association on January 13th, 2019 at the Kohinoor Continental, Andheri (E), Mumbai. Shushrusha Chairman Dr. Nandkishore Laud was the Chief Guest at the function along with the hospital's CEO Dr. Suhas Gangurde and senior staff members in attendance. A stall had been put up at the event to spread awareness about the Hospital and the facilities available for the patients.

The medium-sized high quality cloth bags have become a rage with young and old alike, for their utilitarian aspect, with more and more requests pouring in with every passing day. Recently, the students of Rochiram T. Thadani School for Hearing Handicapped were delighted on being presented with these bags and have come out whole heartedly in support of this Campaign.

The New Year 2019 kicked off with a bang on the Sindhi cultural scene with SUMAN & RAMESH TULSIANI presenting `Sur Chander Ja, Raat Chander Ji's to a packed audience at the St. Andrews Auditorium. The programme marked the 112th Birth Anniversary of Sangeet Acharya Master Chander and showcased timeless melodies of Master Chander, which were performed by Saral Roshan, Mohit Lalwani, Roshni Tekwani, Renu Tekwani and Nisha Chelani. The draw of the show was Mahesh Chander's act, who enthralled the audience with his unique style of rendering the classics. The show ended with a Bhagat performance by Sanju Bhagat, who had the audience on their feet.

OPTHAL Camp

Shushrusha's SUMAN RAMESH TULSIANI HOSPITAL recently conducted an Opthal Camp at Tagore Nagar, Vikhroli East. The response was very encouraging with 192 people registering for a checkup. A total of 28 patients were detected with Cataract problems and another 32 were diagnosed with vision problems, needing spectacles. All the patients were offered treatment and corrective measures at subsidised costs.

DILASA, COUNSELLING CENTRE FOR SENIOR CITIZENS

Shushrusha's SUMAN RAMESH TULSIANI Hospital recently inaugurated a Dilasa Center, aimed at counseling Senior Citizens to help them get through varied health conditions, so that they can cope with the resultant mental and emotional stress. The event was attended by Senior Citizens and prominent social workers from the locality. The gathering was addressed by Padmabhushan Awardee Dr. N.S. Laud among others.
